Arnold Allen is back in the spotlight, headlining UFC Fight Night 276 against Melquizael Costa at the Meta APEX in Las Vegas on Saturday.
Allen enters the main event with a 20-4 professional record and an 11-3 mark in the UFC. He is coming off a loss to Jean Silva in January, which marked his third defeat in his last four bouts. His recent setbacks have come against Max Holloway, Movsar Evloev and Jean Silva.
Before that skid, Allen won his first 10 fights in the UFC and scored a notable victory over Dan Hooker in the UFC London co-main event in 2022, earning a post-fight bonus for that performance.
Costa brings a 26-7 professional record and a 6-2 UFC slate into his first UFC main event assignment. He is described as streaking and is a slight betting favorite against Allen heading into Saturday’s headliner.
