Yan Xiaonan is set to face Denise Gomes in the co-main event of UFC Fight Night 286 on Aug. 29 at the Shanghai Oriental Sports Center in China.
Yan enters the bout with a 19-5 professional record and a 9-4 mark in the UFC. She is looking to rebound after a unanimous decision loss to Virna Jandiroba at UFC 314, which followed a win over Tabatha Ricci. Earlier, Yan challenged Zhang Weili for the strawweight title at UFC 300.
Gomes brings a 12-3 professional record and a 6-2 UFC slate into the matchup. She is currently riding a four-fight winning streak and is coming off a unanimous decision victory over Tecia Pennington at UFC Fight Night 264 last November.
Overall, Gomes has won six of her past seven fights and is a graduate of Dana White's Contender Series.
