A heavyweight showdown is locked in for UFC 328, as Waldo Cortes-Acosta takes on Alexander Volkov on the main card at Prudential Center in Newark, N.J., on Saturday.
Cortes-Acosta enters the bout with a 17-2 MMA record and a 10-2 mark in the UFC. He rides a three-fight winning streak, with finishes of Ante Delija, Shamil Gaziev and Derrick Lewis, and has not lost since a unanimous decision defeat to Sergei Pavlovich last August.
Volkov brings extensive experience with a 39-11 MMA record and a 13-5 run in the UFC. He is coming off a split-decision loss to Ciryl Gane and a split-decision win over Jailton Almeida.
MMA Junkie analyst Dan Tom predicts Volkov to win by unanimous decision. Betting odds at FanDuel list Volkov as a -170 favorite, with Cortes-Acosta at +138.
Cortes-Acosta and Volkov are expected to make their walks to the cage at approximately 10:10 p.m. ET. The fight streams live on Paramount+.
