20-06-26

Vinicius Oliveira is set to test the featherweight waters against veteran Andre Fili on the UFC Fight Night 279 main card at Meta APEX in Las Vegas on Saturday.

Oliveira enters the bout with a 23-4 professional record and a 4-1 mark in the UFC. He is coming off his first UFC loss, a second-round submission to Mario Bautista in February that snapped a six-fight winning streak, and now competes at 145 pounds after moving up from bantamweight.

Fili brings a 25-13 professional record and a 13-12 UFC slate into the matchup. The longtime contender is coming off a split decision loss to Jose Delgao and has alternated wins and losses over his last eight fights. Known by the nickname "Touchy," Fili now trains out of Syndicate MMA and has relocated his camps to Las Vegas.

Betting odds via FanDuel currently list Oliveira as a -290 favorite, with Fili at +225. The featherweights are expected to make their walks to the cage at approximately 8:10 p.m. ET, with the fight streaming live on Paramount+.
