Magomed Zaynukov is set to make his UFC debut in a high-stakes matchup against fellow undefeated prospect Damian Rzepecki at UFC Abu Dhabi on July 25.
The bout will take place at Etihad Arena, with both lightweights putting their perfect records on the line. Zaynukov secured his UFC contract with a unanimous decision win on the most recent season of Contender Series, while Rzepecki arrives as a former FEN lightweight champion with nine of his ten victories coming by stoppage.
Zaynukov is an accomplished Muay Thai fighter and a training partner of Islam Makhachev. He was also involved in a cageside brawl at UFC 322 between Dillon Danis and members of the Eagle fight team.
Rzepecki, a 24-year-old Polish prospect, joined the UFC without competing on Contender Series, adding another layer of intrigue to this matchup of rising talents.
UFC Abu Dhabi is headlined by a light heavyweight fight between Magomed Ankalaev and Khalil Rountree Jr., with Zaynukov vs. Rzepecki adding further depth to the card.
