Undefeated MMA prospect Bella Mir says talks are underway for her to compete on Dana White’s Contender Series this summer as she juggles a busy slate of combat sports commitments.
Mir, the daughter of former UFC heavyweight champion Frank Mir, confirmed ongoing discussions about a DWCS appearance. When asked directly if there were talks, she replied, “Yes, yes there is,” and added, “I’m just excited to get it going. Hopefully I can get something [announced] soon, but there’s discussions going on.”
“Most likely [I’ll be competing]. Yeah,” Mir said, noting that this multi-lane approach to her career is intentional. “This was always the plan,” she explained. “I think my plan is just always taking every opportunity thrown at me [whether] it happens to be MMA or wrestling or whatever it is.”
Alongside MMA, Mir has a finals wrestling match scheduled against Olympic silver medalist Kennedy Blaydes for a chance to make the U.S. team for World Championships, and she has already secured a spot on the U23 World Team with that event set for the end of October. “This actually is like perfectly timed for me because I made the U23 World Team for wrestling and that’s for the end of October, so I’ll have just [enough] amount of time to train after and get ready for that,” Mir said.
Mir also mentioned hopes for a future UFC BJJ title fight and said she hopes to compete on an RAF card sometime in 2026, with discussions ongoing. “I think, hopefully — can’t say yet — but hopefully I can be on one of their cards soon,” she said. “I hope I can make that official coming up.”
