Melsik Baghdasaryan will welcome undefeated prospect Murtazali Magomedov to the octagon on the UFC Fight Night 279 main card this Saturday at Meta APEX in Las Vegas.
Baghdasaryan enters the featherweight bout with an 8-3 MMA record and a 3-2 mark in the UFC. He is coming off a first-round stoppage loss against Jean Silva, which snapped the momentum of a previous unanimous decision win over Tucker Lutz.
Magomedov brings a perfect 10-0 MMA record into his UFC debut after earning a contract on Dana White's Contender Series in September. He has a 100 percent finish rate, split evenly between TKOs and submissions.
Baghdasaryan has not fought in over a year and has only appeared in the octagon once in the last three years, while Magomedov quickly finished regional opponents before his promotional call-up. Oddsmakers currently list Magomedov at -320 and Baghdasaryan at +245 via FanDuel.
