Abdul Rakhman Yakhyaev puts his perfect record on the line against Brendson Ribeiro on the UFC Fight Night 272 main card this Saturday at the Meta APEX in Las Vegas.
Ribeiro enters the matchup at 17-9 in MMA with a 2-4 UFC record. He is coming off back-to-back first-round stoppage losses to Azamat Murzakanov and Oumar Sy, after previously earning consecutive wins over Caio Machado and Diyar Nurgozhay.
Yakhyaev brings an 8-0 MMA record and a 1-0 UFC mark into the bout. He submitted Raffael Cerqueira in 33 seconds in his UFC debut in November, a result that came three seconds slower than his contract-earning win on Dana White's Contender Series last August. He has gone the distance only once in eight career fights.
MMAJunkie staff picks for the fight are Ribeiro 0 and Yakhyaev 10, and oddsmakers list Yakhyaev as a -2000 favorite and Ribeiro as a +920 underdog, the widest odds on the card according to FanDuel.
Ribeiro and Yakhyaev are expected to walk to the cage at approximately 9:40 p.m. ET. The fight streams live on Paramount+.
