The UFC White House Claw rig is now live on the South Lawn in Washington, DC, as the promotion rolls out its "one of one" UFC White House event headlined by Ilia Topuria vs. Justin Gaethje.
The unique fight production is tied to the Freedom 250 celebration, with Freedom 250 including a fan-friendly takeover of the nearby Ellipse, which is expected to host up to 85,000 ticket holders. UFC White House will stream live on the Paramount+ digital network.
UFC CEO Dana White has compared the White House fight production to the promotion’s previous Sphere event, saying, "The Sphere [event] should have won every award there is in production," and adding, "If we don’t win every production award for the White House fight, they should just stop doing production awards because you’re full of s—t."
White also laid out expectations for how big UFC White House could be, stating, "We’re expecting Super Bowl type numbers for this fight."
