The UFC has parted ways with veteran Michel Pereira, with the promotion removing him from its roster following his most recent outing.
Pereira was on a one-fight contract for his bout against Shara Magomedov last month in Baku, where he lost a close decision after three rounds. MMA Fighting reported the roster change on Tuesday.
The Brazilian action fighter, known by nicknames such as "Bullet" and "Demolidor," exits the promotion with a 32-15 professional record. During his UFC run he collected seven post-fight performance bonuses, including three "Fight of the Night" honors.
Pereira has lost four of his last five fights and had previously competed at welterweight before moving up to 185 pounds due to weight issues. He was ranked in two different UFC weight classes during his tenure. PFL and bare knuckle promotions are mentioned as possible options for Pereira's future.
