UFC Freedom 250 Heads to White House With Two Title Fights
09-06-26

UFC Freedom 250 is set for a historic stage on Sunday, as the promotion brings a seven-fight card with two championship bouts to the White House in Washington DC, streaming on Paramount+.

In the main event, Ilia Topuria and Justin Gaethje will clash to unify the lightweight titles. Topuria, the first Georgian champion in UFC history, is the only fighter in UFC history to win titles in two weight classes while remaining undefeated. Across from him, Gaethje enters as the only two-time interim UFC champion in company history.

The co-main event features Alex Pereira’s heavyweight debut against Ciryl Gane for an interim belt. Pereira can become the first fighter ever to win a version of a UFC title in three weight classes, while Gane is the only French-born fighter in history to capture a version of a UFC title.

Elsewhere on the card, former undisputed bantamweight champion Sean O'Malley is one of nine fighters to hold that title, and Aiemann Zahabi carries the longest active bantamweight winning streak at six fights. At featherweight, Steve Garcia rides a six-fight UFC winning streak, the second-longest active run in the division, while Diego Lopes has earned 22 of his 26 victories by stoppage and collected four UFC fight night bonuses in his past three bouts.

Heavyweight veteran Derrick Lewis will make his 32nd UFC heavyweight appearance, the second-most in divisional history, as finishers like Mauricio Ruffy, Michael Chandler, Kyle Daukaus, and Josh Hokit round out a statistically loaded lineup.

UFC research analyst and live statistics producer Michael Carroll contributed to the story.
