Recent results from UFC Fight Night 281 and PFL Austin have triggered notable movement in this week’s USA TODAY Sports/MMA Junkie rankings.
UFC Fight Night 281 took place Saturday at Paycom Center in Oklahoma City, Okla., where Dricus Du Plessis defeated Kamaru Usman in the main event. On the undercard, Fatima Kline defeated Tabatha Ricci.
Ricci entered the week ranked No. 10 and fell in the rankings after her loss, while Kline broke through and entered the top 10 following her victory.
Over in Texas, PFL Austin took place in Austin, the capital city of Texas, where an interim middleweight champion was crowned. Johnny Eblen knocked out Impa Kasanganay to reclaim part of the middleweight title.
Collectively, these results led to changes in the USA TODAY Sports/MMA Junkie rankings.
