UFC Fight Night 281 fighters collectively received $151,500 in UFC Promotional Guidelines Compliance pay for their appearances in Oklahoma City.
The event took place at the PayCom Center in Oklahoma City, OK, with the entire card streaming on Paramount+. Athletes on the card included Dricus Du Plessis, Kamaru Usman, Christian Leroy Duncan, Jared Cannonier, Chase Hooper, Mitch Ramirez, Fatima Kline, Tabatha Ricci and others.
Under the UFC’s compliance program, fighters with 1-3 bouts receive $4,000, those with 4-5 bouts get $4,500, competitors with 6-10 bouts earn $6,000, fighters with 11-15 bouts receive $11,000, those with 16-20 bouts get $16,000, and athletes with 21 or more bouts take home $21,000 per appearance. Champions receive $42,000, while title challengers receive $32,000.
The UFC Promotional Guidelines Compliance program replaced the previous UFC Athlete Outfitting Policy and is funded by money generated from Venum's multi-year sponsorship with the UFC. In addition to the appearance-based payouts, UFC fighters receive royalty payments amounting to 20-30 percent of UFC merchandise sold that bears their likeness.
