Fighters competing at UFC Fight Night 272 collectively earned $151,500 in UFC Promotional Guidelines Compliance pay.

The event took place at Meta APEX, with the entire card streaming on Paramount+. Athletes including Renato Moicano, Chris Duncan, Virna Jandiroba, Tabatha Ricci, Abdul-Rakhman Yakhyaev, Brendson Ribeiro, Ethyn Ewing, Rafael Estevam, Tommy McMillen, Manolo Zecchini, Jose Delano, Robert Ruchala, Thomas Petersen, Guilherme Pat, Alessandro Costa, Stewart Nicoll, Darrius Flowers, Lando Vannata, Alice Pereira, Hailey Cowan, Tresean Gore, Azamat Bekoev, Dione Barbosa, Melissa Gatto, Kai Kamaka III, and Dakota Hope were among those eligible for the payouts.

The Promotional Guidelines Compliance program replaced the previous UFC Athlete Outfitting Policy payments. Under the current system, fighters are compensated per appearance on a tiered scale based on their total number of UFC, Zuffa-era WEC, and Zuffa-era Strikeforce bouts, with payouts ranging from $4,000 to $21,000, and higher amounts allocated to champions and title challengers.

The program covers outfitting requirements, media obligations, and other code of conduct items. Fighters also receive 20-30 percent royalties on UFC merchandise bearing their likeness. To date, Promotional Guidelines Compliance payouts have reached a total of $41,491,500 across all events.
