UFC 328 Set With Double Title Headliners in Newark This May

UFC 328 is locked in for a championship-stacked night at the Prudential Center in Newark, N.J., on Sat., May 9, 2026, with two title fights topping the card and the event streaming via Paramount+.

In the main event, undefeated Khamzat Chimaev faces former champion Sean Strickland for the UFC middleweight title. Chimaev enters at 15-0 overall and 9-0 in the UFC, coming off a decision win over Dricus Du Plessis to claim the belt, while Strickland is targeting a second reign after previously losing his title to Du Plessis.

The co-main event features a flyweight title clash between champion Joshua Van and challenger Tatsuro Taira. Van captured the belt in December in a fight where Alexandre Pantoja’s arm was injured during a takedown attempt.

The UFC 328 main card also includes heavyweight action with Alexander Volkov vs. Waldo Cortes-Acosta, a welterweight matchup between Sean Brady and Joaquin Buckley, and King Green taking on Jeremy Stephens.

Prelims are set to showcase Ateba Gautier vs. Ozzy Diaz, Joel Alvarez vs. Yaroslav Amosov, Grant Dawson vs. Mateusz Rebecki, and veteran Jim Miller vs. Jared Gordon, along with additional bouts featuring Roman Kopylov, Marco Tulio, Pat Sabatini, William Gomis, Baisangur Susurkaev, Djorden Santos, Clayton Carpenter, and Jose Ochoa.
