UFC 328 fight week rolls on with the latest episode of Embedded putting a close lens on the athletes set to compete in Newark’s double-title event.
The UFC’s fifth numbered card of the year takes place Saturday at Prudential Center in Newark, headlined by a middleweight title fight between champion Khamzat Chimaev and former champion Sean Strickland, with a flyweight title bout in the co-main as Joshua Van defends his belt against Tatsuro Taira.
In the new Embedded episode, cameras follow several key names on the card. As described in the feature: "Tatsuro Taira packs his suitcase and heads to New Jersey; Joshua Van hits one last strength and conditioning session with his mother; Ateba Gautier takes his traditional fight week trip to see some animals; Waldo Cortes Acosta hits everything but the pads with coach Javier; King Green arrives to New Jersey and runs through the city; Khamzat Chimaev shows of his world class wrestling."
The episode also arrives amid noted tension between Chimaev and Strickland, with background including threats of violence between the two outside of cagefighting, while Van enters his first flyweight title defense as an underdog against Taira.
Embedded continues to track the final preparations for all involved as UFC 328 approaches fight night in Newark.
