Tyson Fury Playfully Lifted Off His Feet in Makhmudov Faceoff

Tyson Fury and Arslanbek Makhmudov shared a playful but eye-catching first faceoff on Thursday ahead of their heavyweight showdown this Saturday at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London.

Following their press conference, the two heavyweights squared up for the first time during fight week, and Makhmudov took things in a light-hearted direction by bear-hugging Fury and lifting the former champion off the ground.

Fury vs. Makhmudov will headline a live-streamed Netflix event on Saturday, marking the latest return from retirement for the former two-time heavyweight world champion.

Fury, 37, enters the bout with a record of 34-2-1 with 24 knockouts and is coming off a unanimous decision loss to Oleksandy Usyk on Dec. 21, 2024, his second straight defeat to Usyk.

Makhmudov, 36, brings a 21-2 record with 19 knockouts into the fight and is riding a two-fight winning streak after victories over Ricardo Brown and David Allen last year.
