18-06-26

Lightweight veteran Thiago Moises has been removed from the UFC roster, ending a six-year run with the promotion.

Moises last competed in April in Canada, dropping a split decision to Gauge Young at UFC Winnipeg. He exits the organization with a 19-10 professional record after going 8-8 inside the Octagon.

Moises joined the UFC in 2018 after earning a contract with a first-round knockout on Dana White’s Contender Series. During his tenure, he picked up submission victories over King Green, Christos Giagos and Melquizael Costa.

A former RFA lightweight champion, Moises also shared the cage with Islam Makhachev and Arman Tsarukyan. Moises and Tsarukyan are the only fighters to have secured takedowns against Makhachev in the UFC.
