Talita Alencar kicked off UFC Fight Night 274 with a unanimous decision victory over Julia Polastri at the Meta APEX in Las Vegas.
All three judges scored the opening prelim bout 29-28 for Alencar, who moved to 8-1-1 overall and 4-1 inside the UFC. Polastri now sits at 14-6, with a 2-3 record in the promotion.
Post-fight, Alencar said, "We’re very happy, me and my team, but we’re never happy with the result as far as, you want a submission, you want to get a bonus," before adding, "But I did make a statement today at many points, even with my cardio."
Alencar is currently on a three-fight winning streak dating back to 2025, with her only career loss coming by decision in a 2024 rematch with Stephanie Luciano after a prior draw on DWCS. All four of her UFC wins have come against opponents with at least twice as much professional experience as her.
Looking ahead, Alencar made her intentions clear: "I do intend to keep very busy. I'm here to climb the rankings. I do expect the UFC to give me a ranked opponent right now. If you look at the difference, all the girls I've been fighting, all of them have a lot of experience compared to me. I'm just really growing into the sport."
