Tai Tuivasa Reacts After Seventh Straight Loss, Vows to Fight On

Tai Tuivasa has addressed his future after dropping a unanimous decision to short-notice replacement Louie Sutherland at UFC Fight Night 275.

Fighting at RAC Arena in Perth, Australia, Tuivasa came in knowing his job was on the line and ultimately saw his losing skid extend to seven fights. The result leaves his status with the UFC uncertain.

Tuivasa issued an emotional social media statement to fans after the defeat, writing, "SORRY, I tried I felt good I put in the work didn’t get result. I feel like a sh*t c*nt let my fans down again," before making it clear he intends to continue. "Back to the drawing board for me. C*nt of a sport. BUT I WILL NEVER GIVE UP IM FROM WESTERNSYDNEY YOU GOTTA PUT ME OUT FOR ME TO GIVE UP. Sorry all my loyal fans I really am and to my team love yahs."

Tuivasa has been with the UFC since 2017 and holds an MMA record of 14-10 with an 8-10 mark in the promotion. He previously won his first three UFC fights, then lost three, then won five before his current seven-fight skid.
