Steve Garcia is set to go for his eighth straight win when he meets Diego Lopes in the main card opener of UFC White House this Sunday.
The UFC featherweight contender holds a 19-5 record and rides a seven-fight winning streak into the matchup with the two-time title challenger Lopes. The bout will kick off the main card of the event.
Garcia, nicknamed "Mean Machine", began his current surge with a first-round knockout of Chase Hooper. Since then, he has added victories over Melquizael Costa, Calvin Kattar, and David Onama.
Garcia’s most recent win came against Onama at UFC Vegas 110 this past November, a quick finish that moved him closer to a title shot. Now he looks to extend that momentum against Lopes on Sunday at UFC White House.
