Sterling vs. Zalal Featherweight Clash Tops UFC Fight Night 274 Card

Aljamain Sterling and Youssef Zalal will headline UFC Fight Night 274 in a featherweight showdown at the Meta APEX in Las Vegas.

The former bantamweight champion Sterling enters the main event with the most wins and total fight time in UFC bantamweight history, as well as three consecutive title defenses at 135 pounds, tied for the most in the division. Since moving up in April 2024, he has gone 2-1 at featherweight.

Zalal rides a surge of momentum into his first UFC main event. Since returning for a second stint with the promotion in March 2024, he has gone 5-0, and his five-fight featherweight UFC winning streak is tied for the fourth-longest active run in the division. He also owns four submission victories at featherweight, tied for the second-most in divisional history.

UFC Fight Night 274 features several notable streaks and records across the card. Norma Dumont and Joselyne Edwards each bring four-fight winning streaks at women’s bantamweight, tied for the second-longest active run in that division. Alexander Hernandez is on a five-fight lightweight winning streak, also tied for the second-longest active streak at 155.

At bantamweight, Montel Jackson owns the second-fastest finish in divisional history with an 18-second knockout and is tied with Marlon Vera for the most knockdowns in UFC bantamweight history at 11.

Elsewhere on the lineup, Rodolfo Vieira’s five submission wins at middleweight are tied for third-most in the division, while Lucas Brennan, son of Chris Brennan, enters as the fourth second-generation fighter in UFC history.
