Sedriques Dumas has been removed from the UFC roster after nine fights with the promotion, and is now free to compete for other organizations.
Dumas’ last UFC appearance came in April, when he lost by submission to Jackson McVey. While he is currently off the roster, the UFC could potentially re-sign him in the future.
In June, Dumas settled a court case in Escambia County, Florida, related to multiple charges including home invasion, battery, and possession of a weapon by a convicted felon. Prosecutors dropped three of five charges, and Dumas pleaded no-contest to possession of a weapon or ammunition by a convicted Florida felon and possession of marijuana over 20 grams.
The sentence was handed down on June 24. Dumas received six months of community control with 48 months of probation to follow, along with community service, substance abuse evaluation and treatment, anger management counseling, and employment requirements.
On July 10, Dumas filed a motion to modify his probation and community control. That motion has not yet been ruled on.
