Sean Strickland says he has been banned from attending the UFC’s planned White House event on June 14.

The UFC middleweight champion claims he was initially expecting to be part of the card at the White House but now will not attend. According to Strickland, he attributes the alleged ban to his criticism of political figures.

“UFC at the White House with [Benjamin Netanyahu] in the audience. Straight slop,” Strickland said. He later added, “To be fair, they did ban me. But when you make fun of the leaders of America, they tend to be a little bit petty. By leaders, I mean Israel.”

Another comment circulating from the situation stated: “The only male American champ banned at the White House because I said Trump is owned by [Benjaimin Netanyahu]. That’s not public opinion, it’s fact.” Strickland has also said, “I made fun of Israel and [Jeffrey] Epstein.”

UFC officials have said only a limited number of seats are available for the White House event, with no ticket sales and no fans allowed. The promotion has not responded to or confirmed Strickland’s claims about being banned.
