UFC middleweight champion Sean Strickland says he may be facing a misdemeanor disorderly conduct charge after a brief incident at the UFC Fan Fest near the White House on Sunday in Washington D.C.

Strickland attended the fan fest at the Ellipse near the White House, where a WWE ring was set up as part of the event. He entered the fan fest and jumped into the ring before security quickly removed him and escorted him out.

"I may have been charged with disorderly conduct. I don’t know what that is but it sounds cool," Strickland said afterward.

Disorderly conduct is a Class B misdemeanor in Washington D.C., punishable by up to 90 days in jail and up to a $500 fine or both, according to Strickland.

In a message to supporters, Strickland added, "Anyways, I just want to thank you fans. I can’t thank you guys enough. After being banned, you guys riding, supporting me, it means a lot to me." He also told fans, "Sorry you guys," and, "We almost made it! Promise one day, we will set up a circle and box. Thanks for your support."

Strickland had claimed he was banned from attending the UFC White House card due to his criticism of President Donald Trump and his stance on Israel and the war in Iran. UFC CEO Dana White stated that no one, including Strickland, was banned from the UFC White House card but that Strickland was not on the guest list due to limited seating. Strickland had vowed to appear at the event and did so before being removed by security.
