Sean Strickland has taken aim at Brendan Allen for working with Khamzat Chimaev ahead of their title clash at UFC 328.
Strickland is scheduled to challenge UFC middleweight champion Chimaev in the main event of UFC 328 at Prudential Center in Newark, N.J., while Allen has been an instrumental part of Chimaev's training camp. Allen is currently slated to face Edmen Shahbazyan at UFC Fight Night 278 on June 6 at the Meta APEX in Las Vegas.
Strickland, who previously defeated Allen on short notice, unloaded on the middleweight contender over his decision to train with the champion. “Brendan Allen, a retard,” Strickland said, before adding, “The guy has an Instagram handle on his truck. I beat him on f*cking short notice. Chris Curtis beat him twice on short notice and got robbed by the racist judges. But Brendan Allen, you are the definition of a c*nt. You are ranked five, (and) my boy is about to beat you. Edmen (Shahbazyan) is about to beat you.”
Continuing his criticism, Strickland said, “You're ranked No. 5, and you're talking about a title fight, and you go and you train with the current champion, and the whole world just watched him f*ck you up over and over and over again. All we know of your training camp is that you're getting your ass kicked by f*cking Chimaev. You will never fight for the belt, you are a f*cking retard. If you want to get some advice from me, you f*cking retard, stop training with the champion. And if you're going to train with him, don't let him beat the f*ck out of you for weeks at a time, you f*cking idiot.”
Chimaev enters UFC 328 with a 15-0 professional record, including 9-0 in the UFC. Strickland holds a 30-7 professional mark and 17-7 in the UFC, while Allen sits at 26-7 overall and 14-4 in the promotion after stopping Reinier de Ridder this past October.
