Sean O’Malley Breaks Down Jiri Prochazka’s Costly UFC 327 Knockout Loss

Sean O’Malley has given his raw reaction to Jiri Prochazka’s knockout defeat to Carlos Ulberg in the UFC 327 main event, a bout that decided the vacant UFC light heavyweight title.

Ulberg stopped Prochazka in the first round despite being compromised by an injury to his right leg during the fight, extending his winning streak to 10 in a row. Prochazka was attempting to become UFC champion for a second time.

Reacting on YouTube, O’Malley referenced Prochazka’s reputation outside the cage, saying, “You know he’s going to beat the f*ck out of some tree in the woods,” and highlighted what Prochazka told him about his mindset. “Jiri says he felt bad, he felt mercy or he didn’t want to hurt him,” O’Malley said.

O’Malley suggested that Prochazka had Ulberg badly hurt and described how the finish unfolded: “Jiri literally 90 percent had him finished,” and added, “[Ulberg’s] leg, something’s going with his stuff. Every time he threw that calf kick, that leg kick, Carlos just ate it. He wasn’t even throwing right hands behind it, he was just eating them, and Jiri just didn’t capitalize on it. Kind of rushes in, he has Carlos backed up against the cage, Carlos has a right hand and a left hook, pretty much that’s it, and Jiri’s hand’s just down by his hip.”

Prochazka has now suffered three knockout losses in his past six fights and remains known for his unorthodox training techniques.
