Ronda Rousey Taunts UFC After Freedom 250 Viewership Trails MVP MMA 1

Ronda Rousey has taken aim at the UFC after UFC Freedom 250 drew fewer viewers than Jake Paul’s MVP MMA 1 event on Netflix.

UFC Freedom 250, held last Sunday on the White House South Lawn, delivered knockouts in every fight and pulled approximately 17 million total viewers on Paramount+. Despite the spectacle and unique setting, it still came in behind MVP MMA 1, which was headlined by Rousey vs. Gina Carano.

Rousey reacted on social media after the Freedom 250 numbers were revealed, targeting UFC matchmaker Hunter Campbell. In one post, she wrote, “Lmao! Kiss my ass Hunter Campbell.” She also used the phrase “chauvinistic pig.”

MVP MMA 1 marked Rousey’s move to Jake Paul’s promotion after the UFC and Dana White passed on her superfight with Carano. Paul signed Rousey for his first MMA event and also featured Nate Diaz and Francis Ngannou on the card.

Rousey’s latest comments continue a rift with the UFC that stems from the promotion passing on her fight with Carano. She has previously criticized Campbell and accused him of harming the UFC.
