Ronda Rousey needed just 17 seconds to submit Gina Carano in the main event of MVP MMA 1 this past Saturday at the Intuit Dome in Inglewood, Calif.
Rousey won by armbar submission in the headliner after officially weighing in at 142 pounds and entering fight night at 143 pounds. Carano, who weighed 141.4 pounds at the official weigh-ins, stepped into the cage at 152 pounds.
MMA Junkie obtained the full fight-night weight list from the California State Athletic Commission via executive director Andy Foster, revealing several notable discrepancies. Namo Fazil’s weight shifted from 170.8 pounds at weigh-ins to 198 pounds on fight night, a 27-pound difference.
Carano had previously stated on social media that she lost 100 pounds since September 2024 and that she had been "pre-diabetic" and "had trouble simply walking" in 2024.
