Ronda Rousey is reuniting with a familiar face for her high-profile return to the cage against Gina Carano, bringing back longtime former UFC site coordinator Burt Watson for fight week duties.
Rousey is scheduled to face Carano in a cage bout, marking her first fight back after nearly 10 years away. Watson, who worked as a UFC site coordinator for 14 years, will be backstage for Rousey vs. Carano in his traditional role.
Often referred to as the "babysitter to the stars," Watson previously served as UFC site coordinator for Rousey’s first four UFC appearances. The two were publicly reunited on stage at the Rousey vs. Carano press conference in New York.
Watson departed the UFC in March 2015 and was later hired by Bellator, but will now once again be in Rousey’s corner in an official capacity as she prepares for her comeback against Carano.
