Ronda Rousey and Gina Carano shared the stage for a faceoff in New York on Wednesday, building anticipation for their upcoming clash in Netflix's first MMA event.
The UFC Hall of Famer Rousey, a former longtime champion with a 12-2 record, squared off with Carano at Palladium Times Square in Manhattan during a press conference promoting their women's featherweight headliner.
Rousey vs. Carano will top the card on May 16 at Intuit Dome in Inglewood, California, with Most Valuable Promotions serving as the event's promoter.
Carano enters the bout with a 7-1 record and last competed in 2009. The two also previously had a staredown on March 10 as the matchup continued to take shape.
Most Valuable Promotions has also promoted Jake Paul vs. Mike Tyson and Jake Paul vs. Anthony Joshua boxing events on Netflix, and now brings Rousey-Carano to the streaming platform as its first MMA offering.
