Rodrigo Vera Blasts Zhu Kangjie for First-Round KO in UFC Debut
30-05-26

Rodrigo Vera made a statement in his first UFC appearance, stopping Zhu Kangjie by knockout in the opening round at UFC Macau.

Vera needed less than two minutes to finish the Road to UFC 3 featherweight tournament winner, with referee Lukasz Bosacki stepping in to halt the bout at 1:50 of Round 1.

With the victory, Vera secured his first UFC win and extended his overall streak to 14 straight, improving his professional record to 22-1-1 (1 NC). Zhu Kangjie’s record dropped to 21-5 (1 NC) with the loss.

Vera’s arrival in the promotion comes after Daniel Cormier previously passed on him during his coaching stint on The Ultimate Fighter 33, which is set to premiere on June 14 following UFC White House.
