Robert Whittaker is moving up to light heavyweight to face Nikita Krylov at UFC 329, marking a new chapter for the former middleweight champion.

The bout is set for July 11 at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, under the UFC banner. The matchup was initially reported by Russian MMA outlet Vestnik MMA.

Whittaker previously competed at welterweight from 2012-2014 before moving to middleweight, where he compiled a 14-5 record and captured an interim title with a win over Yoel Romero at UFC 213. He heads into UFC 329 on the back of consecutive losses to Khamzat Chimaev and Reinier de Ridder.

Krylov returned to competition in 2025 after a two-year hiatus. Since coming back, he has suffered knockout losses to Dominick Reyes and Bogdan Guskov, but most recently rebounded with a victory over Modestas Bukauskas at UFC 324 in January.
