Renato Moicano Submits Chris Duncan, Demands Brian Ortega Rematch Next

Renato Moicano turned his UFC Vegas 115 main event into a grudge-fueled callout, submitting Chris Duncan in the second round and immediately targeting a long-awaited rematch with Brian Ortega.

The lightweight clash went down on Sat., April 4, 2026, at the Meta Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada, where Moicano snapped a two-fight skid and then zeroed in on the man who handed him his first professional loss. Moicano and Ortega first met at UFC 214 in 2017, when Ortega won by late third-round guillotine choke.

"There is one motherf—ker who I have bad blood with and his name is Brian Ortega," Moicano said after the win. "He ran the first time. You know, I was beating him the first time, but he got me the first time, okay, fair enough, it was my first defeat. But now I want revenge. I want his head. I want to kill this motherf—ker."

A rematch between the two was already booked for UFC 326 earlier this year, but Ortega withdrew for undisclosed reasons. Moicano made it clear that matchup remains his priority, even while floating other names.

"Dan Hooker would be even easier," Moicano added, before circling back to Ortega. "But at the same time, Ortega was my first loss. Especially now that he’s moving up to Lightweight, I like that fight. We were supposed to fight — I don’t know what happened, he just pulled out. We have unfinished business."
