Renato Moicano Rips UFC’s AI White House Promo As ‘Disrespectful’

Renato Moicano has taken aim at the UFC’s new AI-driven promotional push, calling the promotion’s recent content “disrespectful” to fans.

The UFC has embraced the use of AI in 2026 to create content and promotional materials, including an almost entirely AI-generated teaser video for a UFC White House card in Washington. Dana White has responded to criticism of the move by telling detractors to continue watching the fights.

“UFC is not going to be very happy for me to say that, but I didn’t like it,” Moicano said. “I think that’s disrespectful towards the fans, because I am a fan myself. If you can’t put Alex Pereira or Ilia Topuria on a airplane and put them in Washington in front of the White House, I don’t think that’s good. I think that’s sloppy. I don’t like to use AI in my stuff. I’m not saying AI doesn’t help, some stuff I use AI. But not for content. Because I think people can see that’s just sloppy. That’s brain rot.”

Moicano’s comments come after he earned a one-sided main event victory over Chris Duncan earlier in the month, adding a notable active fighter’s voice to what has so far been described as a mild and scattered backlash to the UFC’s AI usage. Critics argue that autogenerated posters and promo videos contribute to a sense of malaise and disinterest around the promotion.
