Renato Moicano will look to snap a tough skid when he faces teammate Chris Duncan in the lightweight main event of UFC Vegas 115 on Saturday at the Meta APEX in Las Vegas.
The bout marks Moicano’s 20th UFC octagon appearance. He enters the headliner on the back of consecutive defeats, including a first-round submission loss in a lightweight title fight at UFC 311 in January 2025 and a unanimous decision loss to Beneil Dariush at UFC 317 in June.
Duncan, who trains alongside Moicano at American Top Team, steps into his first UFC main event riding a four-fight win streak. That run includes three stoppage victories and a notable clash with Mateusz Rebecki that has been recognized as a Fight of the Year contender.
Moicano previously took the lightweight title fight at UFC 311 on one day’s notice after Arman Tsarukyan withdrew from a scheduled main event with Islam Makhachev, and now returns to a main-event spotlight opposite a familiar face from his own gym.
