Paddy Pimblett Rips Ilia Topuria After Corner Stoppage Loss to Gaethje

Paddy Pimblett wasted no time taking aim at rival Ilia Topuria after Topuria’s corner-stoppage defeat to Justin Gaethje in the main event of UFC White House on Sunday night.

Topuria’s corner halted the fight before the final round after a bout in which the doctor nearly stopped the contest following round three, but referee Marc Goddard allowed it to continue when Topuria protested.

On Monday morning, Pimblett jumped on social media to respond to an old post from Topuria and unload on the now-former undefeated contender. “The only thing you had to do was beat a 38 year old coming off of a 5 round war with me,” Pimblett wrote. He then added, “Instead you quit on your stool like the little bitch you are I’m a real fighter and went 5 rounds, you’re a little pretender chorizo! Congratulation Justin Gaethje. Rematch for undisputed?”

Pimblett and Topuria have a long-standing rivalry, with Topuria previously mocking Pimblett on social media after Pimblett’s decision loss to Gaethje earlier this year in an interim title fight.

While Topuria deals with his first loss, Pimblett is already locked in for his next assignment. He is scheduled to face Benoit Saint-Denis on July 11 at UFC 329, which will be headlined by Max Holloway and Conor McGregor, as Arman Tsarukyan and a potential Gaethje vs. Charles Oliveira rematch are also mentioned in the 155-pound title picture.
