Paddy Pimblett is set to compete at UFC 329 on July 11 in Las Vegas, securing a slot during the UFC’s International Fight Week festivities.
Pimblett had publicly requested to fight during International Fight Week at the UFC London post-fight press conference in March, and UFC CEO Dana White reacted favorably at the time. Now, Pimblett is locked in for UFC 329, though there is currently no confirmed opponent for the bout.
Speaking about his preparations, Pimblett said, "I’ve just started [my camp] really because I’m going to be fighting in like twelve weeks or something, I’m just starting me diet now," before adding, "11th of July it’s going to be. It’ll be the first time I’m fighting while a World Cup’s on."
Pimblett is described as one of the UFC's biggest stars, and rumors had circulated that he could face Conor McGregor at UFC 329, but this matchup is not confirmed.
