Paddy Pimblett Chokes Out Benoit Saint Denis in 52 Seconds at UFC 329
12-07-26

Paddy Pimblett made a blistering statement at UFC 329, submitting Benoit Saint Denis by D'Arce choke in just 52 seconds in the co-main event at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

The lightweight bout ended almost as soon as it began, with Saint Denis shooting for an early takedown and getting immediately trapped in the choke. Pimblett locked it in and forced the tap, handing Saint Denis the first submission loss of his career.

With the win, Pimblett improves his record to 24-4 in MMA and 8-1 in the UFC. The victory comes after the 31-year-old dropped an interim title fight to Justin Gaethje in January, which was his first UFC defeat and ended a nine-fight winning streak.

Saint Denis, 30, falls to 17-4 in MMA and 9-4 in the UFC. The defeat snaps his four-fight winning streak and halts his momentum in the lightweight division.
