Opening Odds Installed for Dricus du Plessis vs. Kamaru Usman Headliner
22-06-26

The opening betting line is out for the Dricus du Plessis vs. Kamaru Usman main event at UFC Oklahoma City, and the former middleweight champion has been pegged as a sizable favorite.

Du Plessis is scheduled to face Usman in the headliner of the July 18 card at the Paycom Center, which streams exclusively on Paramount+ in the U.S. BetOnline lists du Plessis as a -350 favorite, with Usman opening as a +285 underdog.

At those odds, a $350 wager on du Plessis would return $100, while a $100 bet on Usman would return $285.

The bout marks du Plessis’ first appearance since losing the middleweight title to Khamzat Chimaev. Before that setback, he defended the belt against Sean Strickland and Israel Adesanya, including a defense at UFC 319 in August.

Usman, meanwhile, is coming off a dominant decision win over Joaquin Buckley in the main event of UFC Atlanta in June 2025, his first victory in nearly four years. That result snapped a three-fight skid that featured back-to-back losses to Leon Edwards and a majority decision defeat to Chimaev at middleweight in October 2023.
