13-04-26

Gable Steveson is officially heading to the UFC, with the 2020 Olympic freestyle heavyweight gold medalist set to make his promotional debut at UFC 329.

Steveson, 25, was announced as the UFC’s newest signing during the UFC 327 event in Miami. The heavyweight owns a 3-0 professional MMA record and will step into the Octagon for the first time during International Fight Week on July 11 at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. His opponent for his UFC debut has not yet been announced.

"Man, I feel amazing," Steveson said. "This is going to be the biggest debut on earth and I'm ready. The butterflies, the jitters, it's all part of the game, and I'm ready to take that big step to the UFC and do what I need to do. Man, I think International Fight Week is going to be crazy. You know, maybe a crazy headliner that might come back that you guys might know so, who knows?"

Before UFC 329, Steveson is scheduled to face UFC veteran Alexandr Romanov at RAF 09 on May 30 at College Park Center in Arlington, Texas, an event that will stream on FOX Nation.
