Gable Steveson steps into the UFC spotlight on Saturday, taking on Elisha Ellison in a heavyweight preliminary bout at UFC 329.
The matchup goes down at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, where the 26-year-old Steveson brings a 3-0 professional MMA record into his latest challenge. All of his MMA wins, plus an additional Dirty Boxing match, have ended in first-round finishes.
Steveson arrives with elite wrestling credentials, including gold at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics and two NCAA Division-I wrestling championships, and has also previously competed in professional football and professional wrestling before returning to combat sports.
Ellison enters the cage as a significant underdog, listed at 9-to-1 on FanDuel for this fight. He is looking to rebound after losing his UFC debut by knockout in under two minutes to Brando Pericic this past September.
