Newly crowned UFC light heavyweight champion Carlos Ulberg has already gone under the knife, undergoing knee surgery just days after his title-winning performance at UFC 327.

Ulberg captured the belt by knocking out Jiri Prochazka in the main event at Kaseya Center in Miami, improving his record to 14-1 MMA and 10-1 in the UFC. Prochazka’s record now stands at 32-6-1 MMA and 6-3 in the UFC.

According to the article, Ulberg injured his knee in one of the opening exchanges of the championship fight. Five days later, he had surgery and later posted from a hospital bed on Instagram, writing, "knee surgery done" alongside the image.

The extent of Ulberg’s knee injury and his recovery timeline are described as unclear. He has also stated he has no interest in an immediate rematch with Prochazka.
