Nate Diaz Calls For Immediate Mike Perry Rematch After Doctor Stoppage

Nate Diaz is already pushing for a quick rematch with Mike Perry after losing by TKO via corner stoppage in Inglewood, Calif., at MVP's inaugural MMA event.

Diaz was badly cut in Round 2 of the co-main event at the Intuit Dome, and the cageside doctor did not allow him to continue into Round 3, resulting in the TKO defeat. The event streamed live on Netflix under the MVP banner.

Speaking after the fight, Diaz made it clear he wants to run it back with Perry as soon as possible. "Right now, yeah, let's start that ASAP, ASAP," Diaz said, later adding, "Heal up, and I'll start running on Monday."

Diaz acknowledged the severity of the cut that ended his night. "Yeah, I was mad, but I understand," he said. "I was leaking out a lot, and I knew I wasn't going to be able to get that done out there. I don't think he would have got much more done either, but I was blinded by blood on the right side."

Despite the setback, Diaz emphasized he has no plans to slow down. "The show goes on," he said, noting he feels he still has "a long road ahead" and "a lot of sh*t to do" as he eyes an immediate rematch with Perry under the MVP banner.
