09-05-26

Muhammad Mokaev is out of his scheduled bout with Adriano Moraes, and undefeated Phumi Nkuta will step in on May 16 at the Intuit Dome in Inglewood, Calif.

Most Valuable Promotions announced that Mokaev withdrew from the fight due to visa issues. Nkuta, who is 11-0, now meets Moraes, who is 21-6, in a 130-pound catchweight contest.

The matchup is part of the fight card headlined by Ronda Rousey vs. Gina Carano, which takes place May 16 and streams on Netflix.

Since his release from the UFC in 2024, Mokaev has won three fights and became the inaugural Brave CF flyweight champion in November. Moraes has lost three of his past four fights and is coming off a TKO loss to Yuya Wakamatsu in March 2025 at ONE 172, while Nkuta has previously competed in LFA and Bellator, with seven of his 11 wins coming by decision.
