Most Valuable Promotions is making its MMA debut with a blockbuster first card, as MVP MMA 1 is set to launch with a featherweight main event between Ronda Rousey and Gina Carano.
The inaugural event takes place Saturday, May 16, at the Intuit Dome in Inglewood, Calif., marking the promotion’s first official foray into mixed martial arts.
Rousey, described as a former UFC champion, meets women’s MMA pioneer Carano in the headliner, while the co-feature pits Nate Diaz against Mike Perry.
MVP MMA 1 will be shown live on Netflix, bringing the entire card to a global streaming audience.
