Paddy Pimblett’s star power continues to grow, with the UFC lightweight now being targeted for an acting role in MobLand following his latest win at UFC 329.
Pimblett defeated Benoit Saint Denis by submission in the co-main event of a Conor McGregor-led fight card at UFC 329 and picked up a $100K post-fight bonus for his performance.
According to UFC president Dana White, the win immediately drew attention from outside the cage. “So I’m laying in bed, my phone starts ringing and it’s the producers of MobLand, they’re like we want Paddy Pimblett,” White said, adding, “I hope he does it.”
White has described Pimblett as one of the biggest names in the UFC, and discussed him during an appearance on Spinnin Backfist. Producers of MobLand contacted White after UFC 329 to request Pimblett for the role, underscoring the growing crossover interest in one of the promotion’s biggest stars.
