Mitch Raposo has withdrawn from his scheduled flyweight bout against Allan Nascimento at UFC Winnipeg due to illness, scrapping the matchup just days before fight night.
Nascimento revealed the cancellation on social media, saying, "Unfortunately, my fight here in Winnipeg has been canceled," and adding, "My opponent has been sick for a week, and we just received the news. Got everything right, preparation spot on, weight almost beaten... but is part of the game. We’re still ready; it’s only a matter of time. We’ll be back soon."
Raposo’s coach Tyson Chartier confirmed that illness prevented Raposo from being medically cleared to compete. "Unfortunately, the fight is off. We’ve been battling illness since we arrived in Winnipeg and weren’t able to shake it in time to get medically cleared to compete," Chartier said, while thanking UFC staff and apologizing to Nascimento’s team.
According to MMAJunkie, the promotion is targeting Nascimento vs. Raposo for UFC Vegas 119 on June 20. UFC Winnipeg, scheduled for Sat., April 18, 2026, will move forward with a card headlined by a bout billed as Burns vs. Malott.
Nascimento enters this disrupted fight week with a 22-6 record, riding a four-fight win streak that includes a recent second-round submission of Cody Durden, and has already dealt with multiple cancellations during his UFC run that began in 2021. Raposo holds a 10-3 record and is coming off his first UFC win, a decision over Azat Maksum, after starting his UFC career 0-2.
