Mike Perry Stops Nate Diaz by Corner Stoppage in Bloody Return
17-05-26

Mike Perry made a violent statement in his MMA return, defeating Nate Diaz by TKO via corner stoppage in their co-main event bout at Intuit Dome in Inglewood, Calif.

The fight was waved off by Diaz's coach Richard Perez between the second and third rounds, after Diaz was left heavily bloodied by the end of Round 2 and had been knocked down by a Perry knee.

The matchup served as the co-main event on the Ronda Rousey vs. Gina Carano card, adding another high-profile result to the lineup at Intuit Dome.

This was Perry's first MMA fight since April 2021, following a run as one of bareknuckle boxing's notable fighters. For Diaz, it marked his first MMA appearance in over three-and-a-half years after competing in two boxing matches against Jorge Masvidal and Jake Paul since his UFC departure in late 2022.
