Mike Perry is predicting a knockout win over Nate Diaz ahead of their welterweight co-main event at MVP MMA 1.

Perry and Diaz are set to clash Saturday at the Intuit Dome in Inglewood, Calif., with the event available on Netflix. Perry enters as a moderate betting favorite with a professional record of 14-8, while Diaz brings a 21-13 record into the bout.

"I'm not going to start slow," Perry said. "I'm going to get in there and get it going, whether that means he's hitting me and that gets me going or I'm landing that range because I'm fast as heck, and I'm in crazy shape. It don't matter."

Perry made his intentions clear regarding Diaz's famed toughness. "I'm going to be catching him. My shots ain't for anybody to withstand. I don't care if you've got durability. I can hit hard enough so, you just got to know how to finish somebody, and I've been doing this a long time. I'm really good at it, I'm one of the best in the world."

Perry and Diaz are both former UFC fighters. Since leaving the UFC in 2021, Perry is 6-0 with four straight stoppages in BKFC. Diaz is known for his durability and has only been stopped due to strikes twice, including one doctor's stoppage.

"Nate's a super tough challenge, but I think he looks like a face that I can plant my fist into because that's my job on Saturday, and I'm really good at hitting people in the face and they don't like it."
